So today we left LA to head for Atlanta, to start the MTV2 $2 Bill Tour w/ 30 Seconds To Mars, Head Automatica, Cobra Starship, and The Receiving End Of Sirens. We have been at home for the last month, enjoy some time off with friends and family, but now we are all eager to get back to work! We are so excited about this tour, and can't wait to see all of you again.
So since there are 5 bands on the bill, shows will start early. We need all of you to show up early and be there at doors, because we go on first or second every night, and we don't want you to miss us! We might even have a new song to debut for all of you!!

Jeff Tucker Chases Burglar and Tackles Him To The Ground
August 8, 2006 - New York, NY - Rock Kills Kid lead singer Jeff Tucker was the victim of a burglary in his Honolulu hotel room in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 6th.
Asleep in his room at Waikiki's Doubletree Alana Hotel, Tucker was awakened at 5:30 a.m. to find an intruder standing over him and glaring. "At first I thought I was dreaming," Tucker says. "Second, I thought it was a hotel worker putting towels in the room. I looked at him and said 'hello' and he bolted." Tucker soon realized the intruder had stolen his wallet, cell phone, credit card, and room key.
Police have arrested 20-year-old Brandon Riester, whom they say is a member of the U.S. Navy. The police allege that Riester climbed onto Tucker's fifth-floor balcony and entered and exited the singer's room through the sliding door. When Riester fled, he was chased down the street by Tucker and Rock Kills Kids' manager Rodney Afshari. Riester was confronted and held by Tucker and Afshari until police arrived.
The police arrived and Riester was apprehended by detective Schell and booked at the Waikiki police department under a citizen's arrest. Riester faces the possibility of years in prison if convicted.
Rock Kills Kid, who were on the island to perform at the Band Camp Festival on August 5th, were interviewed by Honolulu's Channel 2 News, which aired the segment that night on all of its NBC and CBS affiliates.

We are all sitting in our backstage room at Irving Plaza in New York City waiting to take the stage for our sound check before we play here tonight with Jack's Mannequin. Today has been a long day for us beginning with an 8 am wake up call to head over to a recording studio to tape an acoustic set for Rolling Stone which will be up on their website soon. A quick pizza slice and cab ride later we met up with an MTV filming crew at a local guitar shop to tape a segment for "You Hear It First" which should air sometime next month. It has definitely been a long and exhausting day for all of us, but it does feel good to stay busy and have productive day.
Today we find ourselves in our eleventh week of tour and only have a few more shows before we head back home to Los Angeles. A few days ago in Detroit was our last show with Electric 6 after circling the country with them playing somewhere around 44 shows. They are an awesome band and amazing group of people. Check them out if you haven't already! I want to thank them for taking us out on tour and letting us share the stage with them. I also want to thank all of you who came out to the shows which made this tour a success!

Right now we are driving north on the 5 past some small mountain town in Oregon on our way to Portland where we are playing tomorrow. It is exactly 8:23, which gives us only 37 minutes to get to our hotel, check in, get up to our rooms and turn on the TV in time to catch the season premier of The Sopranos. It looks like we might just make it in time.
Last week we played all of our California shows. It felt great to be home for a few days and it was nice for all of us to be able to see friends and family. Thanks to everyone who made our hometown shows awesome! It was great to seeing familiar faces at the shows as well as new ones.
We are now continuing on the second half of the Electric 6 tour with a great band called Every Move A Picture. You've got to check these guys out if you haven't already! Also, I am sure you've already noticed the new website. We are all very exited about it, so be sure to check it out!

2/16/06. Happy Late Valentine's Day! Today we are heading to Philadelphia. We just played the Khyber in December with She Wants Revenge and The Lovemakers, so we are excited to be there again!

2/24/06. Our heavy winter coats are off and the A/C in our van is on full blast which can only mean one thing...we are in Florida!! After three weeks in freezing cold weather and one NYC blizzard later, we have finally reached some warm weather, and we couldn't be happier.
Since our last update we have made our way down the east coast and into the south. A few nights ago we played at a club called The Earl in Atlanta. We had some time to kill so we took a walk down the street to find a really cool tattoo parlor. Sean and Shawn both walked out with new tour tattoos! Next time you see Sean, ask him to make his tattoo talk to you. Since in Florida we have played to some amazing crowds in Jacksonville and Ft. Lauderdale. Right now we are relaxing in our hotel in St. Petersburg where we are playing tonight. We are all really looking forward to these next few weeks of tour through the south!
3/3/06. Hey everyone! We just got off stage after a great show at the Gypsy Tea Room in Dallas, Texas. I just realized tonight that we have been on the Electric Six/She Wants Revenge tour for almost a month now, and every show just seems to be getting better and better.
A few nights ago we played in New Orleans. It was definitely an eye opening experience to see the hurricane devastation first hand. There are so many neighborhoods still in complete disarray. On a lighter note, we were able to experience a taste of Mardi Gras. It was my first time walking down Bourbon Street which was fun.
We are all exited for tomorrows show because we will be in Austin, which is one of our favorite cities. If you've never eaten at Stubb's, I would highly recommend it if you love some good BBQ! The beef brisket with the Stubb's mesquite sauce...enough said.
We will be back for a few shows in our home town Los Angeles in a week. It's going to be nice to be home for a few days...but then back on the road for the rest of tour!
12.21.05. We are now back home after an amazing tour! Thanks to all of you who came out and gave us their support! We also want to thank The Lovemakers and She Wants Revenge for taking us...definetly one of our funnest tours to date! We also would like to thank whoever stole all of our equipment in NYC from our trailer...that was a pleasant morning waking up to an empty trailer! Oh well... life goes on....
We will have some new tour dates up soon, so watch for those. Also, if you haven't been on our MYSPACE site lately, we posted a new video for the song, Paralyzed. Go there and check it out!
